MANILA - Justice Secretary Leila De Lima has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to track down Gerry Limlingan, the alleged bagman of Vice-President Jejomar Binay.

Limlingan's name has cropped up several times in the Senate Blue Ribbon Sub-Committee investigation on alleged irregularities hurled against Binay and members of his family.

De Lima said she has instructed NBI Director Virgilio Mendez to form a tracker team to track down the location and whereabouts of Limlingan and other personalities identified during the Senate hearings as dummies of Binay, as alleged by his former Vice-Mayor, Ernesto Mercado.

This is upon the request of the Senate, according to De Lima, due to their failure to attend the hearings because the subpoenas for them could not be served since their addresses are not known.

Among those named by Mercado as Binay's dummies are Mitzi Sedillo of Agri-Fortuna and reportedly Limlingan's aide; and Bernadette Portallano, also an official of Agri Fortuna.
